Re: Eclair ACL light leaks?
I just spoke to George at OEH.
According to George, there is only one cause for light leaks:
the magazine door is not all the way up against the magazine body.
This is caused by bent springs or a bad latching mechanism.
He recommends using one's fingernails to check for a gap, and to pick up the
magazine by the door. If it's latched correctly, it won't fall off.
According to him, the condition of the blackening paint is not a factor.
I don't. I don't think I asked. It was a couple years ago, so I doubt
he'd remember either...
