Eclair Cameras: Toning B&W 16mm prints

Hi Julian - I'll stay on-list, as others might be interested.

I've certainly done very successful toning on B&W stills. I see no reason why the same toning chemicals for B&W still photography wouldn't work (to various degrees) with a B&W motion picture print. Kodak makes several kinds of brownish toners (Sepia Toner- probably the most effective warm toner, Selinium Toner - makes a print warm and highly archival), and of course there are various color toners on the market. You might want to buy a $10 plastic developing tank (check to make sure it is one that accepts 16mm) and try testing a few feet at a time with different baths. Please report back on your results, it sounds interesting. Mark.
