If you have the same lens on a ACL super-16 as on a Aaton XTR you will get
the same quality on the pictures. The movement on ACL is as steady as on
Aaton. The biggest difference is the noise level. ACL is not lower than 27
db and Aaton XTR can be as low as 20-22 db. My recommendation: don´t spend
a lot of money on a old ACL, buy a Aaton. Even the old Aaton LTR 54 is more
silent, and you will have less problem recording sync sound, a better
viewfinder, more accessories, it´s also more easy to find spare parts and
service, etc.
