Re: Eclair ACL ACL support rods
I see a picture of bars on an XL-1, so permit me to ask a few questions
about the ACL setup.
The first ACL I have in mind is a "I" base, ie., the smallest, 1/2" base.
How do you attach? By a base extender which fits underneath?
I also have a camera with the max-height "II" base with the curved front.
How do you attach to that? I have an ACL with the large base done by OEH,
where he milled into the base and attached the rod interface directly to it.
In the OEH installation, the rods themselves (support bars) are aluminum
rods turned to 15mm, and anodized.
Do your support bars fit the above description, or is there something about
your setup which requires the use of your rods?
