CP 16

Cinema Products' compact 16mm ENG/documentary camera family (CP-16, CP-16A, CP-16R, CP-16R/A, CP-16R/DS), derived from the older Bach-Auricon sound-on-film mechanism but repackaged into a lighter, self-blimped magnesium-alloy body. Extremely popular with TV news crews through the 1970s–80s before videotape ENG took over; still used in film schools today.

- Shutter: 180° non-reflex (CP-16/CP-16A); 156°–170° reflex mirror shutter (CP-16R variants)
- Speed: crystal sync 24/25 fps; variable 12–36 fps
- Lens mount: 'C' mount (CP-16/A); CP (miniature BNCR) mount (CP-16R)
- Sound: built-in magnetic COMMAG amplifier (on 'A' models) or SEPMAG double-system
- Magazines: 400 ft, Mitchell-type or Cinema Products PLC-4
- Standard lens: Angenieux 12–120mm zoom
