Eclair Cameras: HD intermediate

Hi,
I´ve being talking about a short film wich could be shoot S16 and then telecined to PAL HD tape and transfered to 35mm.
it is not a 2k intermediate, but maybe someone had any experience before.
I did some color correcion on Combustion for digibeta. Maybe i could do the same this time.
I´m not familiar with the HD formats war. is there anyone better than the others.
Any advise on contrast, exposure...etc?
