Eclair Cameras: Language on the list-response
hello,
that language is in my signature file and attaches to all my emails. i am putting together a dvd and am literally using the information(that is applicable and warrants such use) i gather and collect from everyone for the content and information portion of the dvd. after all, this information certainly does not originate from me, and without extracting it from people that actually know what they are talking about, i would end up with a pretty lame dvd as far as information goes. but i have no problems NOT using information posted by any of you, and further have no intentions of using information that would lend to make anyone out to be a jerk or amature or anything else along negative lines. the content that ends up in the dvd, and the quotes/advise/instruction will be credited according to the person that gave it, unless they wish i do not use them, in which case i will not. and for those people that end up being cited beyond normal quotes, i would no doubt ask them to
sign a release so there are no problems i nthe future. but i am still a long ways away from that point ... have to seperate fact from fiction, and learn about everything first.

Someone on this list has tacked the preceeding "Claimer" at >the end of
their e-mail.
I don't know if it is List policy or not.
If this notice was generated by the list administrator, then fine, I
have to consider whether or not to remain a member. If it is a policy
instituted by someone else, I am at a loss for words.

Hi Steven,
No the disclaimer is not generated by the Eclair List. It's Eric's own
disclaimer and I believe he tacks it onto every email he sends. I'm
pretty free and loose with the footers and headers people attach to
their email messages. As long as it's not advertising something
offensive like porn, then I generally let it go. My suggestion for
those who don't want Eric's disclaimer attached to their words is to
just remove it from any replies or messages that they send.
I generally consider anything posted to the Eclair List to be in the
public domain and free to anyone who wants to use the info contained
here. If I get time maybe I should add that to the List guidelines.
Hopefully I have addressed everyone's recent concerns and we can get
back to talking about cameras. Email me if you have any questions or
feedback.
