Eclair ACL Battery rebuild

Hey everyone,

I have a set of JVC batteries that I'd like to upgrade from NiCd to 
NiMH, and have found the packs to upgrade them, but can't figure out how 
to crack the shell.  I was told that it is ultrasonically welded, and 
that the weld points can be flexed and cracked.

Any ideas?
