Batteries are easy to make.  Get 10 1.2v 1200ma AA NimH cells (rechargeable
AA batteries) and solder them in series, put them in a little case, wire a 4
pin XLR connector on the end and walla!  There's a company called "Alexander
Batteries" which you can find on the web.  They make a nifty little charger.
I have 4 of these batteries, I only have ever used two in a day.
