Canada signed NAFTA and are violating it to the ruin of 1000's of people
here who have been earning a living in the film industry for years. The
whole issue of illegal Canadian subsidies stinks. If that's offensive, then
so be it.
I don't condone the US government when it violates treaties, and I don't
expect Canadians to condone their government for it either.
Let me state for the record that I have nothing against the Canadian people.
Given an opportunity, I'd certainly take it.
I will however, promote and work for my interests and the interest of the
local industry, especially when the issue boils down to an attack by a
sovereign government against a US state economy.
The mechanism I'm supporting is in place and was agreed to by the US and the
Canadian governments. That the Canadian government should suffer
consequences for violating NAFTA is the doing of the Canadian government.
Let the chips fall where they may.
