Yes, they do work.
However, Optical Electro House will take a CA mount adaptor and convert it
into a Nikon adaptor. These are much stronger.

There are certainly cheap mass produced C-mount to Nikon adapters that

work with the ACL, and they should only cost about $25(US) at a
well-stocked
video type of store. They are most commonly manufactured these days for
video
cameras that take a c-mount. I think there are two types --- one for the
automatic Nikon lenses, and one for non-automatic. But I don't have any
practical knowledge on their use. Probably others do. Mark.
