Eclair Cameras: Kinetal 12.5



Excuse this is really a simple question with an easy answer.


MAke sure there is no power connected to the camera.

Clear the mirror out of the way. Then seat the lens in the mount with focus set to closest distance.


Then slowly pull focus to infinity, this will cause the rear element to extend out towards the film plane. At infinity the rear element will be as close to the film plane as it will get.

SLOWLY manually inch the camera, if you feel the mirror touching something you have your answer.

This is standard procedure for testing lens clearance with any lens you have not used on a camera before.
