Hi HansThanks. Wasn't aware that Kern is closed. Mine is an older non-RX Switar and it shoots well, so I guess I'll hang onto it. I wouldn't have minded the back focus flanges and I do like the preset feature, but is it worth the price difference if I"m using a matte box and the coatings are pretty good anyway?

The Kern factory is closed andthe Bolex factory have a limit amount of new lenses in stock.If you have a old Switar 25 mm not RX use that. The newer Macro Switar RXare only made for Bolex Reflex with prism. Is there any improvements optically on the newer type, it will be the coating, more layers. Hans Hansson, FSF, Sweden
