i agree. a number of response rules would really help out in
terms of being able to reference applicable topics. so i would
also add to your suggestion that the 'subject line' me modified to
describe the topic/content, and should not be changed unless the
topic /subject matter changes. this way, you can
browse/search/scan the subject fields at a glance and find the
specific topic one might me looking for. so if someone asks a
QUESTION about installing the hd-144 gold, it should be entered
into the subject field as follows: hd-144 gold - installation -
QUESTION' now then, so all of the ANSWERS, one would simply change
the subject field to read: hd-144 gold - installation - ANSWER.
for future reference they will all be in ascending order in your
mailbor folder, and you will be able to easily find the question,
or one of the answers. perhaps this may seem somewhat overkill,
but i always seem to need to find a bit of info days or weeks or
months down the road, and when searching
through my emails i have to open each one to see the content, so
if the subject line had the correct title, would simply need to
search the titles.
so here are my suggestions for processing rules:
subject line contains/is modified to contain the following;
1. subject(hd-144, shutter, battery, grip, video tap, whatever ...)
seperator '-'(or comma, tab, whatever)
2. purpose(repair, service, modification, buy, sell, trade, parts,
use, etc.)
seperator '-'
3. position(question, answer, opinion, comment, suggestion,
instruction, etc)
so, that is my 22 cents ... it sure would help in terms of being
able to reference these emails.
