RE: Eclair ACL On board battery?

I've got a 110/220 switchable "Eclair" power module with a male 4-pin XLR connector that came with my ACL II - is there any reason why this couldn't be used as a charger for a battery pack like the one you describe? Or are good chargers cheap enough to not bother?

Thanks,

Joshua

I built very cheap, very efficient on board batteries. I used 10 1200ma
NiMh AA cells, soldered them together in series, but them in a plastic case I bought at my local electronics store and put an XLR connector on them. I have velcro on my mags and velcro on the batteries. I bought a charger from
Alexander Batteries.

I've never gone through two batteries, even on a very long day of shooting.
