I know TV Directors of Photography who, when working in 16mm, will shoot
144-degrees just to get that "subliminally sharper" image at 1/60th. (In the
USA, 144-degrees at 24fps also probably eliminates pulsing if shooting under
fluorescents --- though I can't say I've ever done that). Of course you
wouldn't want the shutter speed faster, as then you'll start to get into that
wierd overly-sharp Music Video effect. At 45-degrees motion is really strange
looking. M.
