I'm new to the list and I hope someone can answer my
question. I just purchased an english 400' mag for my
ACL 1 and I had heard of a problem with the mags
separating from the body. Never had this problem with
my 200' mags. Anyone seen this or had this problem. Is
there a fix.

I've never had a mag fall off my acl. make sure the mag lip isn't excessively worn. on a 20 to 30 year old camera that area sees a lot of wear and tear. and don't lean on the mag while it's on the camera. the clothes pin idea is a good idea, cheap and simple.
