If anyone can come up with a PL Adaapter in HIGH Grade Stainless Steel for $100 each PLEASE let me know . I have produced them in bulk for many years supplying among others Century Precision Optics in Hollywood .
The List Prices are - assuming an exchange rate of £1 = $1.40 are :-
Arri PL - Arri Bayonet ( positive locking )    $292.60
Arri PL - Arri Standard ( Spring levers for Cooke Primes )

On another note , re the Tobin motor , a couple of thoughts :-
If the motor is a permanent fixture how can the movement be removed for service / repair ?.
If you feel the urge to do Time Lapse , how do you change the motor ?
