Re: Eclair ACL Video assist

A company called A-Z Spectrum makes a video assist for the ACL. It fits
between the viewfinder and the body of the camera. Works on both 16 and
S16. B&W only. Not flickerfree, not pretty like the modern Arri or Aaton
assists, but it works -- and image is pretty clear (it's will keep
producer-types happy in most cases on budget film productions). It's not
like a clip-on: the optical finder is still usable.

Do a google search for their web address, I can't remember it. I think they
want you to send the camera in to mount it.

Another question if I may. Can you get a video tap or assist fitted to
the eyepiece of an acl? I'm thinking my money might be better spent
getting this.

Thanks in advance Stephen
