The bloop circuit won't tell you if you are out-of-sync.  In fact, if it had 
been designed that way, then it would fog your film when early hints of sync 
drift might still produce a decent take.

There was a good suggestion made a while back about using a fibre optic cable 
between the motor's loss-of-sync lamp and the viewfinder for this purpose. 
Butt paint the rear of the cable black to avoid possible fogging back through 
the finder.  Mark.
