Eclair ACL shutter/assist

Hi All
    Perhaps Les would like to explain the S16 ACL shutter wisdom from an ACL TECH point of view; also I still have no real explanation of how I may do a flicker free video assist on a ACL. At this rate I will be mounting a mini DV camcoder on top of the camera!!!
