Hey Folks,

I'm looking for anyone who has ever hooked up a timecode system to an
ACL 2 (or any other ACL), with their recorder (what's bet portadat or
Nagra). What timecode equipment (aaton's ?, timecode slates!), works
best. What modifications would need to be done. And a general cost of
either way. Please help!!
Lost on this, and don't want to loose a fortune, just testing.

With a Eclair ACL the only timecode system you can use is a timecode slate
for the camera and a timecode generator for the tape recorder.
Nagra and Stellavox with built in timecode is o.k., but on most DAT´s the
timecode generator is not accurate, therefor you need a separate timecode
generator. Timecode slates are made by Denecke, www.denecke.com.

Aaton make a small timecode generator for tape recorders, GTMS:

Ambient Sound, a Munich based company in Germany, is also making timecode
slates end generators. www.ambientsound.com/

Good luck
